Walk to School Days

October 5, 2022

March 15, 2023

The Georgia Safe Routes To School Resource Center sponsors Georgia Walk to School Days each year by encouraging schools to host walking and biking to school events.  In 2019, more than 150 schools participated in the event from across the state. And in 2020, despite COVID closing schools and businesses, we had schools and communities participate virtually.

Active transportation is great for children's health, their ability to learn and focus, and the environment.

Please be respectful of the carpool line and do not park in the bus lanes.  Remember, this is not a drop-off event. You must stay and walk with your child.
