Firearm Safety & Education Classes
7/13, 9/14 & 11/2 @ 6pm
Cobb County Sheriff Neil Warren is offering several firearms safety and education classes. Each program will include a general overview of firearm types, gun safety tips, how to obtain a Georgia Weapons License, use of deadly force and what to expect during an active shooter situation. There will be plenty of time for questions and free gun safety locks will be provided. The programs are free to attend.
5/11: Freeman Poole Senior Center, 4025 S. Hurt Road SW, Smyrna
7/13: North Cobb Senior Center, 3900 S. Main St., Acworth
9/14: East Cobb Senior Center, 3332 Sandy Plains Road, Marietta

Cobb Library Summer Reading

This reading program is open to all of Cobb and is a fun, social and entertaining way to spend the summer. It runs through July 29. Fairy House Workshops
7/20 @ 9:30-11:30am, Terrell Mill Park, ages 3-13
Learn about fairies by reading stories and building fair houses during free workshops this summer. At the end of each workshop, there will be a tour of the fairy homes and each child will have the opportunity to share what he or she has created. Each participant will also receive a certificate naming him or her an official Fairy Habitat Helper. Pre-registration is required. Visit HERE for more information and to register.

Outdoor burning banned until 9/30
